What's Up This Summer

Greetings  ALL :  Summer is approaching quickly, Where and What's on your agenda this summer? Well this summer has us on the road in the motor home for a couple of months.  We leave Sunday the 10th for Disney World in Florida and my daughters long awaited Make A Wish Adventure!  Along the way we will be treated to a Helicopter Trip around the Grand Canyon a tour of Natchez MS, a dolphin swim in FL and other side trips as generously donated by other Make A Wish units. From Florida we head to Asheville NC for the 4th and then to Nashville for a week. From there we head to Chicago, where it's back to work for me for 2 weeks of conventions and talking .... After we leave Chicago we will camp for a week on Lake Michigan with some OH list friends.  The next stop hopefully will be with Jimmy and Beth in North Platt Nebraska for their August support group meeting. We then head to Salt Lake City and onto Redmond Oregon for another convention. After Oregon we must head home as the kids start school on 8/22. We will have computer access and will be blogging, If you think we will be in your area, drop me a PM and we'll see how close we are. Everyone have a safe and sane summer .... well, this summer will be a lot different without our beloved Chili by our side. so i guess it will be a season of adjustment for us. we'll start first with posting right here and getting back into my OH group to ground me. next, i have a huge account that will take me the rest of the year to complete so we're staying home this summer. we had hoped to go to colorado springs to see friends but now that won't happen. anyway, i hope everyone else is going to have a great time and if anyone finds their way to los angeles please come see me.......carbonblob

Mostly working, unfortunately.  But later this month several college friends are getting together at the beach.  We've met up every summer for the last eight, and that week is generally one of the top two or three weeks of my year.

I am planning on spending a lot of time in Wisconsin swimming and fishing.  In July I plan to meet up with Double D and Kim in Northwest Indiana.   Where are we meeting guys? Are you guys doing overnight camping?  It may just be a day trip for me. If all of us take our shirts off at the beach we should have a nice stretch of it to ourselves.

We arrive in Downers Grove on July 12, leave there on the 15 for the Chicago Nortwest KOA We check in to the Wheeling Springs Westin on the 18th. We have reservations for the South Haven/Covert KOA in Michigan, here is there website: http://www.covert-southhavenkoa.com/ If you make a reservation, we have chosen a back in 50amp site for 5 nights, ask to be near the Lockwoods or let me know when you want to drive over there and we can go together on Monday.
