50 Mile Challenge - May Finish Line
Well Its been an interesting month, started out getting a vasectomy that took me out for 5 days, then I finally got back into the walking groove, and get sick and that kicked my butt for 6 days. But I still did exceeded my goal of 50 miles, but its easy to do when I can walk 5 miles in a day and not think twice.

Well Dan I am still pre-op however I have walked 21 of 31 days this month with an average of 6 miles a day. I have also started riding the stationary bike for 30 minutes when I get up first thing in the mornings. I have also starting lifting weights again so maybe I can get buff like Carbon Bob there. Strictly light weight nothing over 350 on the bench and then just a routine arm and back workout. The Dr says that all of this will help out quite a bit for my procedure I thank you for the motivation and the swift kick in the ass to get me moving.
Dan. I wish I was as active as you are now before I had the surgery. The most exercise I think I got before surgery was paying the bill to my health club. I certainly didn't darken their door more than a couple of times. Now they don't even ask for my ID anymore. The nice lady at the front desk greets me with a smile and has me all checked in by the time I walk in the door. Kind of a good "NORM!" moment.
Anything you can do now will definitely help surgery and recovery. Only a few weeks off now.
Dan,
I know I have been MIA from the challenge recently. I logged in 54 miles in May, which was my worst month since beginning the challenge, but I have been traveling so much this month that I guess it's not too bad. I have been able to maintain my weight however so that is a good thing.
I don't think I'll be traveling as much in June so I am gonna try to get back to at least a hundred miles for June.
Will you please forward a new spreadsheet to me at [email protected]?
Thanks, and thanks for keeping the challenge alive.
Scott
