New Catalog Targets Plus-Size Market - LivingXL
i was reading an article, actually year ago, that was listing hot business oppertunities. it turned out that anybody that was catering to refitting america to the new larger size was the newest hot industry. so things like larger toilet seats, restuarant seats, waiting room seats, larger doors and door frames etc. was where the money was.
i think i posted just a few weeks back that i went to a couple of stores to buy clothes. i don't buy clothes very often, never got into it but it seem when i was fat i couldn't find XXL's and pants over 48" very easily. NOW.....i can't find 30" pants and small shirts, hardly ever. now maybe those are popular sizes and they're sold out before i get there but i mean the entire store is out of those sizes.
so my point is i think you're right. big business is waking up and realizing we've super sized and there's money in them thar fat cells. well, we are a capitalist country and this is what we do best.....carbonblob
CB, I keep telling my wife that these damn stores didn't carry the big sizes when I needed them, now I can't find the smaller ones. I've recently discovered that the men's department mainly goes down to size 32, but the boy's department has 30s. Unfortunately I don't always like the styles. I guess there's no pleasing us, huh.

Wow! what a cool problem to have, Floyd! I'm sure I'll end up somewhere around 34 waist, hopefully. Try Kid Gap. They have pretyy cool plain clothes, not so much the crazy droopy draws look, they have khakis and stuff like that too. I could have sworn there was a support group this week! I showed up but it looks like I had my weeks wrong again. (DORK). I will make it next week even though I am in Chicago for a conference today through tuesday. See you there, have a great weekend! Ken
