To La*****t To Lap. That is the Question.
Hi there,
I'm getting myself mentally prepared for my Lapband surgury on June 29th and I really enjoyed your note. I guess I'm getting cold feet so your analogy of 'comfort' foods vs. Quantity hit home quite well.
I don't think I'm a comfort food person (although I'm sure I have my moments) and the Quantity problem is more along the lines, so I feel a bit more reassured that I'm going down the right path.
Thanks!

Boxman,
I went through the same up and down questioning on what surgery to get. In the end I had to settle with the gold standard, RNY. It's been around for 50 years and improved yearly. I do have a little problem with the dicing of my innards but I have decided that I trust fully my doctor and since I'm married, I am not afraid!
In World War II they found that the military was made up of both single and married men, however, the married men were much more likely to lay it all on the line and die fighting if they had to! Get the message? I am married and am not afraid - I fear hardly nothing since I've been married!
Good luck and see y ou on the loosers bench!
