Down 150, Just saw the Othro Doc....

They're going to cut a wedge out of my shin bone and realign the head to take some of the pressure off my knee.  My knee was the driving reason for my surgery.  At 410, I was no where near at candidate, at 260,  He was more than willing.  Later, Dave

Wow! I didn't know they could do that. The miracles of modern medicine. Makes sense, though - a little change in the angle can mean a lot less leverage.

Thanks, It's actually a procedure that's been around in various forms since the 60s,  according to the doc.  I have a 16 degree bow in my right leg, and I'm too young for a replacement.  I still won't have any minicus on the inside of my right knee, but there's japanese evidence that once some of the pressure in relieved cartiledge will regrow. Good news! Hope it does. Not sure how tall you are, but I noticed a huge difference in everything when I got below 230 (5'9 tall). So the situation should improve a lot.

I'm 6'1.  I've noticed a big difference.  Even with the bad knee I'm able to get around better.  I took a bike ride the other day and seem to have a lot more endurance.  Later, Dave

Dave, When are you going in for the Leg overhaul? Hope your surgery is the one the Doc brags about for years to come! Have a Great one, and push through the Physical Therapy to follow. Hope and Pray you’ll be pain free and dancin’ on that leg in no time! Best Wishes- Dx
