Major League fart...
I took the family to Detroit this weekend to watch our Tigers maul the anemic ,defending World Champions. (apologies to Card fans everywhere), and sweep them in a 3 game series.
Usually, I get tickets in "terrace seating", because the seats are larger. However, it's tough getting tickets this year, and I was forced into stadium seating. In years past I would literally have to wedge my fat azz into one of these seats. NOT this year. I fit. Not comfortably, but I fit. In years past I would have spent nine innings gorging myself on hot dogs, sausages, beer, nachos, pretzels, ice cream... you know the drill. Not this year. We had dinner before the game, and even though I could smell all the enticing aromas hanging all around me, I never felt hungry. I had a water, and was completely content. I didn't even realize I hadn't eaten anything until after the game was over. What a difference from a year ago.
I guess my point is, people can change. WLS has changed my life, and I just wanted to share.

Cool, DD!
I don't know about Comerica, but, you'll know when you're at goal weight when you can fit in one of those tiny seats at Fenway without bruising your hips!
(I guess there weren't too many over 400 pounders around in 1912)
Congrats to your Tigers for sweeping the Cards... That's what they get for taking down the Mets in game 7 last year!
Be Well,
A.J.

AJ,
10-4 on the older stadium seating. 17.5 inches was the seat size at old Tiger stadium. Comerica park is 19 inches across, to adjust for a "growing" population. Still pretty snug on my enormous buttocks, but doable.
June 9 I'll be back in Motown to watch my Tigs Mow-down the Mets.
I'll keep you posted.

DD,
It sounds like you had a great time. Congratulations.
I know what those seats are like. I'm looking forward to not having to request handicap seating just so that I can fit. My son and I attend Scranton Yankees games (AAA) and this year I should have no problem fitting into the regular stadium seats. So far I have lost 14 inches in my waist and hips.
