Getting my Throat Cut Monday - Really

Greetings All:

Monday I will be going in for surgery for my Zenkers Diverticulum. This is a pouch that forms in the Esophagus / Tracheal area of the throat. Mine they say formed as a result of  rapid weight loss following LAP-RNY on 11/22/06. The incident rate of this happening in RNY is about 1 in 200,000, I feel so lucky!!

It is a short procedure, under 2 hours and done in an open fashion. [The minimal version is not at successful as the open – yet] Should be home by Tuesday and have a voice in 7-10 days!

Look forward to talking on this media soon!  Thanks for the support so far and prayers never hurt!

Take Care all – checking out from the left

Kim, good luck on that. Sounds like a minor procedure, hope that's what it is. Prayers from here.

Best Wishes,

Dave

Good luck Kim.  Keep us posted.  Don't tell my wife about this as she may pay to have my throat cut.  Bobby

Hiya Lefty, Good luck, and speedy recovery, my friend. I'm sure you'll come through just fine. DD PS. If you believe in karma, this may have something to do with you working on Nixon's campaign back in the day of tie-dye, and lava lamps.
