What's the best thing about "your" weight loss journey?
Well Ronnie since surgery I am down just about 80 lbs. I haven't weighed for a couple days but last time I did weigh I was getting close. MY Blood sugars have stayed consistently low (100-135) when tested. My bp seems to be good when checked lately. I go tomorrow for my endo's A1C blood draw.... I'll get the results next week at the dr visit itself.
I too was somewhat active due to the job I have, but as mentioned I didn't volunteer too often for any extra duty. Now I go and make extra rounds just to satisfy the urge that is coursing through my blood to MOVE! My coworkers have all noticed the change in me and how I work now compared to before.
Besides a stricture the only problem I have had since surgery is an increase in back problems. It really became painful about the time I went back to work. Well with the chiro's help and my increase in the exercise it is slowly going away.
My sleep problems have decreased a lot. I think mainly in part to the fact that I am not drinking 4-5 64oz mugs of iced tea anymore. I'm not getting up every 30 min to **** Its not that I don't like tea anymore but that I can't drink that much anymore.
I have quit taking all my meds except two, hopefully I will be able to get off of those as well as my weight loss continues.
Stay the course Ronnie, You will be hired it just takes the right company the chance to see you.
Hard to add a lot here. Freedom is the short answer for me. Doors that were previously shut and locked are now not only open, but blown completely off their hinges. I'm going on a 13 mile bike ride this weekend with my father in law. A year ago I would have laughed in your face if you told me that was going to happen.
I ran with my daughters on the beach last weekend. Wore them out. My wife said she wishes she could have taped me doing it. Exhiliration.
Life is beautiful.
Good thread Ronnie. Hope your job search returns a good fit soon. I know you've been waiting for a good while now.
