6 month post-op with a FART kicker

Today is my 6 month lap RNY surgery anniversary. To make it even better I have met my second weight loss goal, as of today I weighted in at 399 pounds. That is a total of 145 pounds I have lost so far since my surgery. Since my surgery my first goal was to get under 500, and now my second was to get under 400. I think after stepping on the scale this morning I ripped a FART as long as a broom handle in joy. Now for my next goals I am going to have to start working a whole lot harder than I have had to so far and that is to get under 300 pounds.

Hey Alan, I think the weight will still come off pretty easily throughout the 300's as well. It's when you get to the 2's, which is much closer to your goal weight, that the really hard work begins. Looks like you're doing great so far. You've gone from the 5's to the 3's. How exciting is that? If you think this is cool, just wait for 299, it will happen before you know it. The weight loss can seem slow at times, but when you look back over your spreadsheet, it's amazing how fast it really comes off. Enjoy the 3's and never look back.  Ronnie

Hey Al! So that was you--I thought it was a SONIC BOOM. Whew! Congrats on your excellent progress. It's amazing, isn't it, how good getting into another weight category (under 400 in this case) can make a guy feel? Whatever you're doing works, so keep doing it.
