Race Report Posted
Hey Fellas
Well, yesterday was my first Triathlon of the season.
And, as you can see, I lived to tell the tale.
It's a pretty long read, but if you're interested, I've posted my full race report (with pictures!) on my online Triathlon Journal:

Thanks for all the encouragement. I truly does mean alot to me.
I'm a little sore now... need rest... and a hot tub... maybe a massage... and a beer....
Be Well

Way to go man. A few things. You finished with a smile which is what its all about. No matter how good (or bad) you do or get, don't ever finish without remembering where you came from and what it is really all about.
Another thing. I hate those "I got you at the end people". A few weeks ago I ran a 5K and right at the finish line these two jokers passed me (after the line), so they were first in the corral. They got credit for beating me even though I crossed the line first but I am not a complainer so I let it go. Still though, its annoying.
That was no little spring sucker either. Nice job.

Great job AJ. I appreciate the post and with pics too,..OOOOOOoooooo.
Smiling at the finish? You looked like you were down right laughing!
Must have been the clydesdales form?? Or your positive mindfulness to keep from slugging him as he bumped past?
Swimming, biking, and running. How cool is that? I can't even imagine being at that point yet.
I'm gonna stick withh the running,..er uh, walking and jogging till I get to running. But it is ever so inspiring to read about your endeavors and during race editiorials. Good stuff.
Did you take the trainer job at the gym?
A.J., Excellent job. Get some tinted goggle if you don't already have 'em. They help on those sunny days. Try drafting off of some other swimmers too and let them do the work just like the guy did with the run. Nice report and finish. I'm really looking forward to returning to triathlons this summer. A few more weeks of 10 lbs weight restriction and then I'll be out there pounding the pavement with ya. Take care and nice job. Jim
Racing for the awareness and understanding of food allergies.
WOW! Congratulations. I can't even imagine - hopefully someday .
Right now I'm doing good to just walk 3 to 4 miles each evening. I'm in San Antonio where the humidity is about to kill me - LOL. I'm longing for home and the dryness of the Texas Panhandle!
Keep up the good work. You're an inspiration to all of us.
