does anyone know a good spot online to buy Viactiv Calicum chews?  They use to have Orange cream and Strawberry Cream at wal-mart but have not had them for a LONG time. (maybe they quit making that flavor).  just trying to change things up a bit from the carmel ones all the time. thanks.  mark

Mark, Longtime no see! Don't know about prices on the Viactiv CXhews, except- They are Calcium Carbonate.

Much less absorbable than some that use calcium Citrate , Such as. -Citracal Creamy-Bites. Those, my wife takes/eats and loves them. Not too pricey- http://www.planetrx.com/shop/brands/index.cfm/b/13970/rfr/gg l?gclid=CNeV473x-IsCFRlBgQodiFAJWA around $8 for a box of 30. The Lemon Cream and the Caramel ones are supposed to be great! They have 4 gms of sugar, same as the Viactiv.

I dump right at 3 gms of sugar, so they’re off my list. Others out on the Boards seem to love em and have no problem. Best Wishes- Dx

Hi Dx;  yeah; fighting major depression and trying to stay positive.  working long hours and stress at work isn't helping. things will get better; at least I'm not 200 lbs overweight and fighting all those problems also.   I wish I would dump at 3 grms of sugar.  I can tolerate 10 - 15; but try to stay away from it all together.   hope all is well with you. need to pop in here once in a while to see how everyone is doing. thanks for the reply.  I'll get some of those citracal  best wishes  mark

Wow! You pay 8 bucks for those? Hit up Wal-mart, they're just around $5.00 (at least in my local Wallyworld.)

Jake, I actually use the plain ole Citracal tablets. I chew them even though it’s like eating some chalk. My wife is the "Creamy Bites" member of the family. I’ll have to pass on the Wal-Mart info. Or offer to buy for her. (I think she gets them at Walgreens) She is one of those Anti-WallyWorld types, *****fers to Wal-Mart as Satan’s Super-Center. She’s all about customer service, whereas I’m just as happy with self-serve at reduced price. (I think that the polite way to say I’m Cheap!) Best Wishes- Dx

I have taken the Citracal Creamy Bites and buy them at Rite-Aid.  They also have them at WalGreens - they are about 6 bucks per box.  They have chocolate, caramel, and lemon creme - and, like Dx said, they are the better obsorbant type of calcium.  I'm almost 2 months post-op, and have never had a problem with them.
