Highest - 297 Surgery - 282 Last Week - 258 Today -255 Down 3 this week, 27 since surgery, 42 overall After not losing an ounce for almost three weeks after transitioning to soft foods, the scale finally started moving again for me. I am five and a half weeks post-op and I have lost 27 pounds, that's five pounds a week for an average, I'm very happy with that. I'm feeling really good. As of tommorow I am clear to start lifting as much as I want. I plan to start weight training this week and continue with my cardio too. Hopefully, next week's losses will be even greater.

And the weight just keeps dropping off!! This week has been all about nutrition modification. I have been noticing that I was feeling weaker and weaker after workouts at the Gym. At first I thought it was due to the weight loss. After looking real close at my diet, I noticed that I had lost the emphasis on protein. This week, I disciplined myself to be sure I allow at least one Protein Shake daily – even if it meant going over my 1200 calorie intake. I was rewarded with more energy after workouts while maintaining my steady weight loss. With that all being said, here are my results to date… 05Oct06          389.0   -           Initial Consult with Illinois Bariatric Clinic 14Jan07           385.8   -           3.2# loss since Initial Consult (Approval Date) 17Jan07           383.4   -           Pre-Op Consult - 2.4# loss (Start Liquid Diet) 21Jan07           371.2   -           12.2# loss since Pre-Op Consult 28Jan07           362.8   -           8.4# Loss since last Sunday 30Jan07           359.6   -           Lap Banding today 3.2# Loss since last 04Feb07          355.2   -           4.4# Loss since surgery date 08Feb07          352.8   -           Post-Op Consult - 2.4# loss since Sunday 11Feb07          349.6   -           3.2# Loss since Post-Op Consult 18Feb07          350.2   -           0.6# GAIN since last Sunday 25Feb07          344.4   -           5.8# Loss since last Sunday 04Ma07           338.4   -           6.0# Loss since last Sunday 08Mar07         First Fill          Band is at 4cc’s 11Mar07          333.8   -           4.6# Loss since last Sunday 18Mar07          327.6   -           6.2# Loss since last Sunday 25Mar07          326.0   -           1.6# Loss since last Sunday 01Apr07          323.0   -           3.0# Loss since last Sunday 08Apr07          321.0   -           2.0# Loss since last Sunday 15Apr07          314.4   -           6.6# Loss since last Sunday 16Apr07          Second Fill      Band is now at 6cc’s 22Apr07          311.8   -           2.6# Loss since last Sunday 29Apr07          306.8   -           5.0# Loss since last Sunday 06May07         303.0   -           3.8# Loss since last Sunday 86.0# Loss overall 56.6# Loss since surgery 11.4# Loss since last band fill

Hey Russ, No accounting in my bloodline, just a renewed vigor to be health concious! Thanks for the words of support! I am having wonderful results using my Lap-Band as a tool, and realize that my results are more of the exception than the rule, but I firmly believe that anyone can attain excellent results if they use their tool of choice correctly! Thanks also for mentioning my Son. He is currently in the Inactive Reserves, meaning currently a civilian. June 2007 he will still be a Marine at heart, but no longer subject to Recall. Live life to it's fullest, and enjoy every day!

Highest wieght and date of surgery    384' Last week                                                 308 This week                                                 304 I can't wait for the sub 300's!  I know its just another number but it has been a goal for some time and with my new tool it is going to be here this week. I found an excercise I can do and not hurt my back too much.  The recumbant stationary bike.  I have reached 10 miles a day and afterwards I am not crippled. Doc also put me on the fentanyl (sp) patch for pain.  It has helped me become more productive. JIm D
