The Sunday Weekly Weigh-In ____May 6th! scale (I'm Home and about to have some Vacation at Home time, so look out... WAY TOO MANY posts from me next week!.) Congratulations and Welcome to our New Guys. For those of you headed in next week--Have the Greatest! For those of you just home—"Sippin' tha****er, and Walkin' Bunches"- Hang in there, And all of you "Livin' on Liquid only Pre-Op Diets!! Same thoughts- It Does Get Easier Each Week! I know that using the scales can make some crazy, (Slower loss is Still Loss!) -But- Keeping track and forcing myself to "Watch It!" Has been the "What works for me," for maintaining my loss. I’ll eat, but know that I need to exercise a little bit more If the numbers climb just a little. That way, I only make "Little" adjustments to my weekly routine. If the "Scales Make You Discouraged?" Then STAY OFF of Them! But for those who Are weighing in- Drum roll-------------------------------------- Hop your Azz up on the Scales! How much have you lost? Since Surgery? Or in Pre-Op Diet? And has the Scale moved this week for you? If so, How Much? My Starting Weight? – 385 + All Time Low – 179 Me?-   182  (not eating at home much for the last 3 weeks didn't seem to make a difference...)

So, What about YOU? (NEW GUYS AND LURKERS? Scan back over the last months of this weekly post, And you’ll get a fairly clear picture of the fact that there isn’t a "Typical" progress, Just massive, persistent, overwhelming - PROGRESS!) (Plateaus DO BREAK!) (Congratulations in Advance!!) Keep It Up!!! Best Wishes-Mike Wazowski Dx

lets see....  pre op weight 306 surgery date 11/3/2003 all time low 170 current 190 should be exercising; but life is running me ragged.  I do walk about 20 minutes at lunch time during the work week; and then work around the home on weekends;  yes, I'm happy about the weight loss;  would like to lose 10lbs again; but....  it's all about being healthy and feeling good about oneself.  .  mark

Old Me--300.3
New Me--211
Next goal--200 by the 18th. (100 lbs by the end of the semester)
Plateau broke slowly, I might add. I think I jumped off the plateau, and hit the foothills....now I'm back on track.

I noticed that increasing my protein intake, and hurting more at the gym put me back on the loosers bench. I think after the first 80 my body just had to sit it out for a few weeks.

Hey Dx and guys, I couldn't be happier about my weight loss here lately. I'm not really doing much different, a little more exercise, a little more protein, etc. I guess it has been enough to get my weight moving down again.  Starting weight: 351 Today's weight: 239 Total Lost: 112 lbs.  I look forward to seeing everyone's progress this week! Heaviest weight                       235 current weight                           225 weight when I was in "good shape"    170 I haven't been posting much, Aetna requires 6 months of Dr. supervised dieting ,so things aren't happening very quick for me.  I'm just trying to stay at about where I am for the next few months.  Still playing basketball a few times a week despite my girth.  Have a good one. Sonny

You will be assimilated, resistance is futile.

On my 3rd week of consistent (SP) losing. Everyone wants to know when I am gonna stop. They can't understand it when I say that I could have up to another year of weight loss with this. I am only 4 months out and only about 40 pounds from my over-the-top-ultimate-goal of 225. Only 25 till the surgeon's goal. I average about 110-120 grams of protein a day. Of course 40-60 is from drinks but I'll get it any way I can. Here are the stats: Starting July 10th - 455 Surgery date January 4th - 365 (90 pound loss) Last week's weight - 271 Today's weight - 267 Loss for the week - 4 Loss from surgery - 98 Total loss - 188
