I'm Home
Don, Glad to hear you’re home. The first week is typically the time when you want to shout- "What the Hell did I do to Myself?!?!" Followed by- "I feel like Crap!" Hang in there! Most everyone who’s ever been there, also hits that time when they want to shout- "Why didn’t I do this Years ago!!??!" Walk, sip, rest…… SF Popsicles! Best Wishes- Dx
I'm right there with you on the pain. It hurt way worse than I thought it would. The pain and weakness, along with not being able to eat solids for a short while stinks. Down the road you'll look back and think it's a non-issue. The pain meds really helped me.
My new fave SF popsicle is Kroger brand banana flavored, they be da bomb. I'm going to try the other flavors when I finish my banana's off.
Get some rest, walk when you feel like it, try to drink plenty of water.

Hi Don,
Being home is good, being in pain is bad, but you know that. What you will discover is that all the hassles are well worth the great results, not just in terms of weight loss (although that is the heart of the eal), but in terms of all sorts of unexpected and long-given-up-on pleasures, pleasures of being "normal" and ordinary.
So hang in there as best you can, doing it the well established one-day-at-a-time way. As Dx and the other guys can attest, it surely does get better and better and better.
Welcome home.
Doug

Welcome home Don, sorry to hear about the pain though. When you feel up to it, get out amongst some people just to absorb their energy.
A few months from now, you will forget all about the pain, and the liquids, and soft foods you have coming the next couple of weeks and will just be thankful for those 50 lbs that are gone already.
Blessings,
Greg
