WLS could lower life expectancy...
Hi Scott,
Tell me about it! I had to buy a Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) light, just to keep from going into hybernation. After mid-June is when it gets good; sunny, low humidity, warm - all the way to October. Snow starts pretty late too, usually about December. But for some reason spring starts like an old Edesel. I could invest in a spray tan, but my wife might get suspicious!
The good thing about blades is, it's great cross-training for CC skiing and the skiing is so good, we had the World Nordic event here this past February.
Any new developments?
Dave
Great Pics, Bajaaddict!
Is that you in with the sharks? Guess that's all part of the Baja.
It's true - I bet more people are lost to swimming and car repair than inline skating! Japan is the worst for drowings because many people drink and swim and then, Japan has a lot of area with no waves, which can mean....riptides! (just when they thought those calm beaches were safe...NOPE...that means the water is going back out to sea!
Also, I know of at least one guy who got smushed under a car. That gets a lot of beginners, because they've never heard of jack stands (like your friend in the pic). I've gotta be careful on that one. I have a van and have to change to snow tires and back every year and I'm always jacking up one entire end of that top heavy thing.
Got any water sports going on down there in the Baja? Must be prime season right now?

Dave,
You mean, reduce my life expectancy from the 6 or 7 years I had left prior to WLS? Uh, no. Very much no. Quite the opposite! I now plan and expect to live a relatively average length of time, and not have my journey cut quite so short. This is not to say I won't take up lava surfing or some such fun (is that aerobic or not?). Best, Jeff Honeyman
