Best Pricing on Supplements
Hi Bobby,
Not sure about how it is now, but the bariatric supplement sites seem to be the most expensive. For chewable multi's I like Walgreen's Optisource chewables. Some people like the plain old Centrum chewables. I think they actually do have the necessary microminerals like Copper, etc.
For protein and other supps, I like the prices at allstarhealth.com and bulknutrition.com .
Hope this Helps,
Dave
I buy things from a few sources.
Unjury (unflavored, strawberry sorbet) www.unjury.com. I mix the unflavored with, gosh...just about anything (pudding, jell-o, shakes, crystal light, chicken salad). The strawberry I mix with 8 oz of Crystal Light Pink Lemonade.
I also recently tried buying samples from www.vitalady.com. WOW, I wish I'd know about this sooner. You can buy a 30g protein serving of most any of her products for $1.99. Her and her husband are WLS patients, so they weed out the crap. I am in the process of trying all the flavors of Necter by Syn Traxx. I plan on posting my spreadsheet for all to admire, but sofar the apple is good and the Fuzzy Naval is so-so. The Roadside Lemonade flavor is weak, but not "dis-grossting" as my son put it.
I pick up some individual servings of Worldwide Chocolate shakes in the can. I get them at Trader Joes, but I think Walmart might carry them too. These are great to keep in the car (I have a small cooler with goodies ready to eat).
Finally, I always keep some "Talking Rain Botanicals" handy. It's just foo-foo water, but it mixes well with the unflavored unjury for an on-the-go meal replacement, or after a work-out.

I get most of my stuff at allstarhealth.com. Huge selection and fixed-price shipping charge.
I also check Amazon for most things, because shipping is free and fast (I'm a prime member), and also because they link to other merchants I might not have considered. I found a great B-complex sublingual from a merchant there that gives me all my Bs, in the most absorbable form, cheaper than I was spending on B12 alone before.
For things like medications, vitamins, and minerals, drugstore.com is competitive, especially in their store brand. I got calcium citrate and biotin 5000mg caplets (hair loss) there. I also like that they have a "Flex Benefits Account" store on there. By using my FBA account (set up through my employer) I can buy some of the things I need income-tax free.
Which reminds me: it's a good idea for everyone to put a few hundred dollars or more in a Flex Benefits Account account the year of their surgery (and every year after, probably), to save money on copays, surgery bills, drugs, etc.
