I am home

Thanks to all of you that sent me good tidings during my hospital stay.  I was discharged yesterday around 4:30PM.  I had begun to run a fever in the afternoon so there was some delay.  When I got home I slept until this morning.  Other than the antibiotic which tastes like hell, I am following the recommendations easily.  Haven't had the need for pain killers, so I hope I am past that. Glad to hear that everything went moderately well. Remember that you'll have good days and bad in the near future, and to nurture yourself accordingly.

Welcome to the freedom.

DrJco, Glad you felt like posting with us today.  Good to hear from you and glad you are doing so well. Take care of yourself and don't feel bad about resting.  As long as you are getting your protein, water, and supplements and taking a couple of walks a day, sleep is your friend and the recovery grace period is the best itme to take advantage.  Life will start back at you soon enough. rest while you can. Welcome back on this side of the knife.

Congrats John!  Glad things went well other than the slight fever.  I'm seeing Dr. V this afternoon and then surgery on Wednesday.  Getting anxious!  Feel like I'm at the edge of the pool and getting up the nerve to jump in.  Bobby
