CB, hang in there man.  You're in my thoughts and prayers as is Chili and Gail.  I know I'll be a basket case when my 14 yr old pooch moves on.  Take care! Bobby

Wow, CB Sorry to hear that all of that's happening. All that pain and they still weren't able to find anything? Sounds like your pain was quite a bit worse than mine was. Simply needing to "drink more water" to increase "movement" doesn't sound like the only answer. Hate to try and diagnose, but it sounds like an internal hernia.

Glad the dog is still with you. Hope he stays with you comfortable for a longer time. Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Hope things improve.

Dave

Hello Brother..... I have to agree with Dave...I was rolling on the floor with my internal hernia.....my doc said that it would rarely show up on tests, but I didn't even take pain meds afterward....the surgical pain was nothing compared to the hernia... give Gail and Chilli my best russ

Hey Russ,

Do the docs in the US have to actually have visually evidence or multiple attacks for insurance to cover a laparoscopic exploration? Although here in Japan, RNY is not covered, insurance did cover the internal hernia surgery with little visual evidence other than a "high level of gas" in my intestines. Insurance is government run and docs here do enjoy God-like status.

Wonder what it takes for them to decide on hernia surgery?

Dave

thanks Dave, well you remember back in november they did an ultrasound and found no stones then an endoscopy and colonoscopy and still found nothing. at that time they thought the pain meds were a contributer to pain in the gut.

as for chili, well, time is measured in days and we know it. if he starts to suffer we'll take him in. our vet is a friend and offered anytime day or night because we didn't expect him to make it to monday. but thanks for asking.......carbonblob

thanks Greg, next time you travel around the world, take me with! i gotta get out a here! i'm starting to feel hexed. actually, gail and i made a pac not to go to the ER and spend $10k on a fart but i thought i was dying or something busted inside. i hate spending money on emergency treatment but no way could i make it to the car. it took all those guys to get me in the ambulance and they flew with sirens wailing to get me there. so i guess they thought it was pretty bad too. l'll get back to my boring life soon......lol. thanks for posting....carbonblob
