Bay to Breakers

Hello Brothers, My hometown of San Francisco is well known for many reasons, some of them a bit on the 'wild' side. Every year, there is a race/walk...spectacle...called the Bay to Breakers.  It's a race to some, a party for others, and every year, a handful of knuckleheads just have to run the course in the buff. This year, a group of bariatric patients from Kaiser South San Francisco, is going to walk the 12k - 7.46 mile event.  Considering where we all came from in terms of health and fitness pre-op, this is going to be a great celebration and accomplishment, whether participants finish the whole route or just a portion of it. May 20th is the big day.   Wish us luck!!!! Dennis

Dennis, That sounds fun.  Go for it!  If I were in the area, I sure would.  Of course, I would be one of those "wild side" people.

Thats a great idea Dennis.  I did my first 10K March 31, 07 and it was terrific.  I hope you have a similar experience.

Dennis- Glad to hear you're doing this.  I live in Knoxville, TN, and have been planning to run the '08 version of Bay to Breakers to celebrate my RNY **** 07), as well as the 2008 NYC Marathon.  I don't think I can make it out this year, but I'm with you and yours in spirit.  Have a good time!

Dennis I am so jealous brother.  I watched last years race on Art Mann's HD show. That would be such a blast to be part of it all. It looks like a really wild moving party. You guys should have a blast. The 7 miles up and down the SF hills will defiantly give ya'll a good workout. Next year ya'll will have to do it nude in your new skinny bodies...... That should scare the hell out of the rest of them...... Good Luck,
