6 Month Anniversary Today

Guys Just thought I would share my celebrating with you all today.  For whatever reason 6 months post WLS seams to be a huge deal and for me (and I am sure for most) it is because we change our appearance so dramatically in this short time.   These 6 months have really flown by for me, in part to and thank GOD I have had no complications, nor have I had any problem with eating.  I have only had chicken get stuck a few times for some unpleasant pain, but other than that and the first week post op being a little uncomfortable, this journey has been a blast so far. I am so glad I found this Men's board a few months ago as you all are very supportive and someone always seams to have an answer.  I kept wondering if others were feeling and having similiar experiences as me, and now I know you all do. The locker room is great and man does it stink! I updated my profile with pictures taken this morning. How I have changed since Oct 2006: 326lbs - 204lbs 52"-54" pants - 38"-40" pants (38's in my new pics) 3XL Shirt - Large Shirt BMI 52 to 32 (can't believe I am still considered obese) No more CPAP Seat Belt Extensions on airplanes - No extensions and now I have a little extra Now I ride bikes with my Kids and many more positive things. Thanks for all your support from a very happy loser!!! Chris 326/204/175 (but I am thinking of renewing my goal to my "ideal weight" of 164)

Good going, Chris. Your 6 month stats are impressive. I know what you mean about revising the "ideal" weight goal downward. Success and enhanced well-being must enhance the release of "optimism" hormones. Thanks for sharing your success story.

Hey Chris, My NC Brother...since I'm from Gastonia, I have a question....What have you done with the container that hold the bacon grease????Do you still have it....Everyone in NC gets one when they are born....what do you use yours for now....I got Splenda in mine...it's a family heirloom, I can't get rid of it...Russ

Excellent job Chris!  I'm glad I got to meet you the other week at the support group meeting.  I look at your stats and get motivated.  It's especially helpful right now as I'm on day 3 of the preop liquid diet.  Drove to DC yesterday and never realized how many McDonalds there are along with my favorite....KFC's.  Sigh...
