"Teensy" bit tired of all the Praise!

Must be a canuck thing.  As a typical shamless American, I love the praise and take full credit for my success.  My thought is that most of the people who mention anything probably were always concerned about my weight, but were afraid to mention anything and be rude.  The weight loss gives others the license to tell you that they care about your health without feeling uncomfortable about it. Next time you are at a party and this happens you could just get ridiculously drunk and make a total ass out of yourself.  That should shift the atttention away from your waistline. 

I love the praise!!!  I got up every morning at 4:30 A.M. and went to the gym and would work out.  I deserve the praise.  I thank God everyday for my surgery and my surgeon.  I did as much or more than he did.  I love it when I see people out and I speak to them and they do not have a clue who I am.  Just enjoy it!!!! i have to agree with a lot of the other posters. one, i didn't have an easy time and it took almost 7 months before i could eat anything solid and i've been really sick for a while. so i struggled. secondly, they aren't going to say, man, you really know how to lie there and take it! admit you had some input and worked at your program. and lastly, i, like some of the others work out like a crazy man possesed. this physique didn't happen because i lost weight, i worked damn hard at it. so yeah, the 30" waist is one thing but the muscles are another. both took a lot of hardship and hard work no matter how i cut it. so i take the compliment. then again, i really don't see a lot of people who know me so i don't deal with it like people in an office or a huge social life. i see different clients all the time so nobody really knows. anyway, take the praise and enjoy, that's my advice. you deserve it.....carbonblob
