Sometimes you just have to laught (so you won't cry)
I ordered a replacement side chute for my electric lawn mower from Black & Decker yesterday. First of all, the part costs $6 and change and the shipping an handling is $8 and change. Waht can you do? That was ok by me. However, when they went to put my credit card through, it wouldn't work. I know there's no problem with my credit card, but I decided to order using my Debit card instead (different bank even). That wouldn't go through either. They said that I may want to call the credit card company but that they would send it through their corporate offices and call me back today. I called VISA today and they show 4 separate charges of $16.48 with 4 separate authorization numbers. They said they could erase 3 of them, but they wouldn't know if they were erasing the erroneous charges. They referred me back to Black & Decker. They're supposedly going to correct it. I called my wife and told her what happened and she said it sounds like every time they tried to bill my credit card it did go through. Now I'm just wondering if I'll have to call the other bank about the debit card. Ah, well, I'll wait to hear from Black & Decker.
