An XL, 250# FART!!
Two good FARTS in one week! Last Monday, I stopped at Target on my way to the gym to get new workout clothes as the ones I had were getting very baggy. I was pretty sure that I could fit into XXL and as that was the largest size they had, it would be much less expensive than going to the fat mans store. I decided to try them on and I remember thinking that they felt a little loose so I went out and got XL in both the shirt and shorts and THEY FIT!! I was feeling so good about it, I also bought a new belt to replace my “trophy” belt (you know, the one I was wearing before the surgery and was wrapping half way around me!) I also bought the belt in XL as I could comfortably use the last hole and I knew I would soon be off of the end of the belt.
I also reached 250# on Sunday that’s a total loss of 116# so far! I also lost one more hole position in the NEW belt! Pants that are only a month old are getting loose on me; it sure is great to be able to buy clothes at a NORMAL SIZE PERSONS STORE! They are much less expensive to boot!
The gym that I belong to offered a free personal trainer session and I took them up on it. I did see a lot of value in having someone to guide me through the proper exercises and encourage me to push just a little harder but the price was OUTRAGIOUS! $225 just to sign up then $39 per session and they wanted me to take 3 sessions a week! That is $460 a MONTH AFTER SIGNUP! The pressure they tried to use was worse than I have ever had at a time share sales event! I didn’t bite even when they offered several “free” sessions and an easy payment plan.
I have a gym available to me at work for free which I don’t use because I have a 60 mile commute each way through some of the most heavily used roads in the nation. If I leave an hour later than my normal time, it adds another 30 minutes to the drive. It was less expensive time wise and toll road fee wise to join a gym where I live and pay the fees there, not to mention the convince of being able to go with my wife whenever we want to go. I did check with the free gym and they do have trainers (for free) to help you, so I setup an appointment for Wednesday and I will be using the free gym once a week to get the guidance I need. They are great people and I don’t mind the addition to my drive once a week, epically for the price difference!
