I have called her office, I've left 'nice' voice mail on her line, I've called my bariatric office to try and assure them that it's coming so lets get on with the last thing - the stress test. On their end: NO, NOT UNTIL WE RECEIVE THE PSYCH. ASSESSMENT, her office says they'll see about it.....now what's your name again? Geez Maria, let's go a little slower so the old ticker (which has been flickering) can say goodnite. Just like walking in thick mud - I ammmmmm soooo frrrrussssssssstraaaaaaaaattttteddddd IIII wwannt to ssssscrreeeeeeeammmmmmmmm! Yyyyyyyyyyaaaaaaaaaaaa....
Just hang in there and don't get worked up over this. Most surgeons' offices have procedures that they follow. Many of them are done so they can coordinate with the various insurance companies they have to deal with. I know it sounds frustrating to you, but you shouldn't be sweating up every little detail of the process. Yes, you should check up on them. Make sure that the shrink sent in the report. Allow some time to elapse. Be reasonable. If you are nice in dealing with your surgeon's office, they'll probably treat you better. (By the way, sometimes delays are not doctors fault. For example, yesterday, 04-20, I rec'd an Easter card that my parents sent that was postmarked on 04-04. Why did it take 16 days to go from Central NJ to South NJ? You may be facing a delay not caused by the doctors on either side.) Be persistent but patient.
