A little setback.
Hey guys, I had a little setback yesterday when I went in for my per-op.
Between the time I got approved by my insurance, my wife and I went on a two week cruise for our 25th anniversary and I gained 15 pounds.
My Doc postponed my surgery until I get back to me pre-cruise weight but left me on a clear liquid diet.
So I’ll try to stay positive and spend more time at the gym and build up my abs for the big day.
Seeing some of the gents today that have gone such great distances in just six months really gives me hope that I’ll be riding the Hog looking buff.
Hang in there, dude. Just wait, a few months from now you'll be ridin' the bench with all of us loosers. And...six months? Dont' be so hard on yourself I'm exactly four months out. I run two miles a day, fit into a size 32 jean, and have lost 86 pounds.
The important thing is that both you and your doctor agree that you're ready. If that takes a few more weeks, so be it. Think of it as extra time to get your cardio up. That helps a TON post-op.
Here's lookin' at ya!

Hey man,
Little setback, but sounds like you are plowing forward like a pro!!!!!!!! Stick with the liquid diet - it sucks big time, but is well worth it. It makes all the difference in how easily the surgery can be done.
I'm in SLC too, and with this crazy weather we're having, doesn't seem like you'll miss any good riding weather between now and surgery day!!!!!!!!!
The time will fly by, and your big day will be here before you know it..... I'm only 5 weeks out, and I've been so amazed at how quickly things got back to normal for me....
Best of luck with everything,
Chuck
