A few farts of my own. ...and some other ramblings
Over the last few months, I have not been very active here. It seems that when I am less successful than I feel I should be, I participate more. When I feel I am losing the battle, I shy away. It should be the opposite but what the hell. Anyway, I am here so guess what that means. I got sick on Saturday night and decided that I would use that as the impitus to put the hammer down and hit my goal. Today I tied an all time low and with 13 pounds to go, I am psyched to hit my goal in the next few weeks.
Anyway that was one fart. The other: I went to the doctor last week and had my pulse and BP taken. The BP was 107/68. Then she took my pulse. It was 52 so she went to get a little machine to get a "real" reading. The machine said 49. My resting rate before surgery was in the high 70's and forget it after some stairs.
see ya

The pulse of an athelete!!!!
Must be the marathons.
On my 6 month followup, my pulse was 44 so they took me off a 2nd BP med. Still taking 1 out of 3 pre-op. I finished my first 10K in 1:34:01 and today at work I did it in 1:22 and think I went closer to 6.5 or 7 miles. I'll check with my car after work. See what you've done to me Scott!!
I know, I know,... If win any road warrior money, you'll need a cut as my mentor. I think that shouldn't be counted on as a source of income in the immediate, near, or probable distant future.
Good luck with the last 13, may you only have to lose it ONCE!
Hey Scott,
We're glad you're back, even if it takes a bit of "pressure" to get you back on the men's board. And, whew! As some other guys have said, we can smell them little toots all the way over here on the Left Coast.
As for the 13lbs to go, remember when 13lbs was the weight of a snack? I do.
Hope you hit goal soon.
Doug
