April 17, 2007 One Year Anniversary, What a great ride this has been!! I have lost 231lbs down to my new weight of 229lbs. I have not weighted 229lbs since I graduated high school and joined the Navy in May 1977. I feel wonderful and I am living my life to the fullest now instead of just trying to get through another day. I thank God, My wife Susan, Duke, Dr. Pryor, and medical science everyday for helping me turn my life around. Getting married to Susan, having two great kids and WLS are some of the greatest events in my life so far. Good Luck to all the newcomers, here is what my ride has been like. Exercise and changing your overall lifestyle to a healthy one is the real key to long term success. I workout 3 days a week, I walk 25-30 miles a week and I play volleyball and golf. Exercise is now a joy and not a labor anymore. The real work begins when the pounds stop falling off and you have to work to maintain your achievement. The routines you develop on the way down will help or hurt you down the long road of maintenance.

Good Luck...

Wow, what an inspiration you are my friend!  I cannot imagine dropping a deuce + in one year.  What's it like meeting a occasional acquaintance that hasn't see you in maybe 18 months, do they even recognize you?  Wow. Congrats.  Bob.

Hey Tim - congratulations man.   I've enjoyed reading your posts, and envying your hot "little" convertable!!!!!!  I have a total of 275 to lose, and at times that seems so far out of reach - so, thank you for posting your journey so I can realize that my goals are absolutely within my grasp!!!! Thanks again, and keep up the great work, Chuck

Tim, congrats, you and I kind of started from the same place.  My year anniversary was last week on 4/10.  2 weeks post-op I was at 432, day of surgery I was at 417.  Today I am at 190.  Go to the gym 4 times a week and eat basically protein.  I am so much more healthy than I was.  I need to get a new pic on here, but was asked to wait since I am supposed to be modeling at the OH conference in Orlando in 3 weeks.  I would never have imagined myself in any kind of fashion show, but I figured what the hell when I was asked.  Anyway, best of luck to you and continue the plan.  I know I am.
