The Amazing Disappearing Before/After Pic (What is happening to my pictures) BTW how...
I still weigh 243, but I'm 6'3" tall. The pictures pretty much explain what I mean about the unrealistic ideal weight that some internet sites give. Guys, don't go by them. Have your doctor help you come up with a realistic goal weight to achieve, and you will do it. Anyway, I was posting these pictures for the Dallas Area Men's Support Group I just started, and was amazed at the difference. I have been pretty depressed because I've been in kind of a stall lately, but now I feel pretty darn good about myself.
Eat your heart out, dudes!

Hey Ronnie,
Great post. The pics tell quite a story.
And your point is one I needed this morning. I've been on a semi-stall for 3 weeks. Teeny losses. teeny gains equaling very sllllllloooooooowwwwwwwwww losses.
I know, guys, I know. It's part of the process after the first 6 months, our bodies change as we lose weight . . .
But the ole "fat head" remains hypnotized by the scale, focused on an ideal weight, and subconsciously convinced that "I alone" will be the execption to all the success stories.
As much as one part of me knows better, the ole fat head keeps chattering in the background.
So, again, a big thanks and congrats. The pics are worth a million words.

where did that other chin go Ronnie? i was going to take up the violin once but didn't know which chin to put it under! joke for the day. seriously, good work. you look like two different people. it still amazes me when i talk to people i haven't seen in a while and they don't know who i am. just shows ya what a long way we've come......carbonblob
I was talking to a friend the other day, we don't talk but maybe once a month, and he told me that I've lost enough and to stop now before I'm too thin. My response: Dude, I've still got 29 pounds before I hit my ideal weight. After I uploaded and compared these pictures I was able to see what he was saying. But folks are used to seeing the fat me, not the much skinner me. BETTER GET USED TO IT CAUSE I DON'T KNOW WHO THAT FAT GUY IS ANYMORE! HE DIED ON AUGUST 9, 2006, MAY HE REST IN PEACE FOREVER!
CB,
Not to worry--I think I have Ronnie's other chin & a few more of my own. They're newly discovered as the fatty scaffolding of my face collapses. Now when I go to a concert, I can laugh and clap at the same time and without using my hands!
