The Sunday Weekly Weigh-In
Hello all,
It's been an up and down week. Last week I cut out my major source of snacking,
peanuts and cashews. While healthy, they were becoming addictive and I was
taking in way more then I should have. I was going to report that I cut out the nuts,
but I was afraid someone would have read that I had cut "off my nuts". Not a good
way to loose weight.
Anyway my weight loss was all over the place during the week. At one point I was
down 6 pounds. It just so happened that was the day I had my one year check up.
That made me and the doctor very pleased. By the end of the week the weight has
bounced back up a bit. Oh well, it's all good.
Here's the numbers:
Starting weight - 1st consult (January 13, 2006): 339
Surgery weight (March 20, 2006): 300
Weight last week: 184
Weight this week: 182
Total loss: 157
Life is great, Rick
Wow - feel like I'm really being tested these days with 6 weeks of losing and gaining the same 2 lbs.
Got a lot of suggestions on increasing calories and protein intake and started that this week although I'm finding it hard to actually get in 1,400-1,500 calories a day. Still logging about 14 miles walking each week and swimming 3-4 days (minimum of a mile each day I get in the pool). Hopefully things will start moving again soon!
Starting weight 443
Surgery weight 392
Today 299
Total lost = 144 (since 5/30/06)
Since surgery = 93 (9/26/06)
