I don't know if i ever mentioned it, but after my surgery (August, 2005), I decided to jion the local chapter of TOPS (taking off pounds sensibly).  I was a member years ago...but since I was never successful in losing weight... I found this support system to not be supportive (lol).  Well, as I said, after my surgery, I decided to join the local chapter..  This would allow me a weekly opportunity to get weighed on the same scale at the same time each week.  Well, today, I was recognized in during their statewide recognition conference as being the division nine winner for a second year in a row.  This means that for a second year in a row, I was the largest loser for those TOPS members who had gastric bypass surgery.  Not only did I receive this recognition, but I also "graduated" to KOPS status...thus meaning that I have met my doctor's goal.  (and I have stayed within a five pound range of that goal...generally for me..always under his goal).   My new avatar (interesting word)...is a photo taken of me as I was being recognized on stage.  The crowd (over 300 people) cheered and clapped for me..and by the end of my "narrative" they gave me a standing ovation.  I was told I was cute, ******y, handsome, and an inspiration.  I also had several people who were interested in my cookbook.  Needless to say, Andy Warhol was right... I had my 15 minutes of fame (actually only about 5)...but it was nice!!!!!!!!!!  THANKS
