Truck FART

Recently we bought a 1992 Dodge Dakota, we only paid $500 for it. It needs some work tho, transmission slips a little, and it needed a passengers side door. A friend of mine got a door for me from the salvage yard and brought it over to help me install it. We had to pull the fender to get to the door bolts, so we did that and replaced the door and put the fender back on. After my friend left I stayed outside and worked some on the truck, cleaning it up ect. After I was done I went in the house and told my wife I felt good for the short time I was outside. She said do you have any idea how long you were out there, you have been outside over 4 ½ hours. I couldn’t believe it. I can’t remember the last time I spent that much time on my feet doing anything. I knew my stamina had increased some since my weight loss but not that much.

Welcome back to the land of the living, my friend. It won't be long and you'll want to put an addition on the house... or something. Enjoy it, Al. DD

Al, I see you’ve lost 132 pounds already.  Congratulations!   I know what you mean about increased energy levels.  I started to notice an increase in my stamina after losing about 20 pounds and it kept getting better with every pound I lost.  It makes life so much more enjoyable when you can be physically active again.   You are doing great.  Keep up the good work.

That was a beautiful story Al. It had all of the elements; male bonding, man and truck bonding,..yuo didn't mention any bondo. Did i miss that part?? Seriously, that is a great feeling isn't it?  I can hardly wait till you tell us about the hand sanding and custom paint selection.  We could use some pictures of man and machine too, when you have free time. Keep the FART posts coming.  They are uplifing and just darn fun to read about the little things we take for granted.
