Getting help with back and neck pain

I just returned home from my appointment with neurosurgeon dealing with my neck problems discovered in the MRI. He has me scheduled for day surgery this Wed. to work on a bulging disc in my neck. If this does help then full blown surgery will be required to fix the bulge.

Tomorrow morning I will be in Indianapolis at (9:00 AM) to have the wires put into my spine for the trial test of the spine stimulator. If I get the results in my lower back and legs that I want then they will surgically implant the device. The trial will be from 7 to 10 days. During the trial I will have the transmitter on the outside.

Please remember me in your thoughts and prayers the next few days. Hopefully I will soon be able to get back to exercise. I will try to get on here and let you know how things went or I will get Ann to update you Wednesday evening.

By-the-way…..Tink (from some months back, who used to "lurk here" often?) asked about you just the other day… There’s folk on ‘other boards’ hangin’ for some good news about you too… Know that there’s strangers spread across the country pulling for you and lifting you up in prayer. Very interesting. I hope things go well for you. Apparently we had surgery one day apart. For better or worse the doctor I just began seeing for my neck and back problems seems to be less agressive than yours. However, I am having an epidural steroid injection in the back next week.

Absolutely Dan, I have a group of 30 other men and women praying for you as well, brother. Please keep us posted. Glad you are finally getting the treatment for your pain. Greg
