Easter Edition!- Sunday Weekly Weigh-In
KIM L. Ph.D.
This new life is now a Journey and not a destination!
Afterall life is just a dash between two dates on a tombstone.
Steve, Thanks for reassuring me No Man is an Island. I talked to the CNP at my surgeons office yesterday and she told me it wasn't so much how long post op as how much weight I've shed in that timeframe,...not to worry, the honeymoon period is still 12-18 months for rapid loss and it would happen if I stayed with the program. It sounded to her like the body was just regrouping and adjusting for the next phase of losing. So I guess we just need an extra dose of patience and continue our undieing tenacious zealousness. Did I really say that out-loud?? Whoa...

Confession time. I hang my head in shame. I was down to 166 lbs (6'0" tall) and was hearing from EVERYONE, including surgeon & primary, to stop losing weight. In fact, they said I needed to gain weight!!! I never, in my life, thought I would hear that. Well, you have to be careful what you wish for. I used their advice as an excuse to test the boundaries, experiment with food limitations & have done some "old fashioned" pigging out. The results: in the past 8 weeks I have gained 18 lbs. YIKES!!! The good news is that I am still at my original goal weight. More good news: pigging out is no longer what it used to be, i.e. hugh quantites of junk & fast foods. Anyway, In the tradition of Easter, I will ask for forgiveness and attempt to resurrect a healthy way of living and eating. Happy Easter to all. Highest weight: 428 Todays weight: 185 (-243) Jay
