OK Guys, I have gotten some pictures from my brother's wife of our little group in the UKROPS 10K from last Saturday 3/31/07 in Richmond VA, and posted them on my profile photo block.

Not likely we will be confused for the US Olympic track team or the Ethiopians either.  Stage roadies pehaps,...club bouncers maybe,... stand-ins or stunt doubles for the Pillsbury doughboy or Michelin man. Anyways, it was fun and I had a great time and wanted to share the pics. On top of that, had my 2nd 3 month follow-up; (6 month anniversary on 3/26).  Offically weighed-in at 268 with 207 lbs lean (77.2%) and 61 lbs fat (22.7%) according to the magical scales you have to weigh on barefoot.  Had a pulse of 44 that scared the nurse, so I will be eliminating the Atenolol BP med as of tonight; two down, one left to take (Diovan 320),...another milestone or as we like to call them out here, a glorious FART!!

Hey Joe - congrats on the 10K.   That's awesome.  I'm having my mountain bike tuned up in hopes that I will be back on it sometime this summer - something I never thought I'd be doing again!!!!! Anyway - congrats again on the 10K and the great weight loss success.   Your pics are awesome, and very encouraging.   I'll post my new weight tomorrow after my doctor visit.  Chuck

Joe, Didn't I see that same picture hanging in the Post Office? Wow! I'm always amazed when I look at your pictures at how far, and how fast, you've progressed. Great blog, by the way. Educational and inspirational. A 10k race. I can't even imagine that. My 11 y.o. daughter runs in 5k's. Maybe I'll try to run with her next May. Who knows.  Thanks for planting the dream. DD

Joe Thanks for sharing.  Again you have inspired me to train for something like this.  My sister in law wants me to train for a half marathon in Charlotte next January - she is crazy.  I will look for a 10k or 5k to start with. Keep it going. Chris

Congrats, Joe! What a transformation. You look much lighter even than 268. Ain't it great to be able to get out and run?
