Now that it seems like my stricture is taken care of, and can try to eat again, safely. What are some good suggestions to try out? maybe with a high amount of protein involved. I've been eating soups and jellos so long I forgot what food is....  Maybe something quick for the nights I have to work my 12hours.

Lowfat small curd cottage cheese would be high in protein and pretty safe. Try to make time to eat your meals at a relaxed pace. Your long days are a pain but so is having another stricture.  My 2 cent. Best of luck. Tony J.

I continue to recommend protein shakes.  You may want to consider the Matrix ones since they don't need to be mixed with a blender;  you can simply stir them with a spoon.  Perhaps someone else knows the company name because they make many flavors.  You can check it out at www.bariatriceating.com which is an advertiser on this site.

Shrimp is my choice for a quick and healthy high protein meal. I also work 12 hour shifts and find if I have something around without a high prep time, I do fine eating. I am talking frozen shrimp, they can be thawed in a cup of warm water. Yum.

What has always helped me is to have yougart (fruit flavored) with a couple scoops of whey vanila protein in it.   I still have this in the morning and evening every day. Dan

Just to display my ignorance, what causes strictures to occur?  Scar tissue? Bobby
