Greetings fellow men of the locker room! Well this weekend has been a fun fartin' time.    We started on Friday with my daughter's Make A Wish chapter invitation to the US Air Force Thunderbirds VIP performance. If I may use the term WOW? Wow what a day!  It started with all the kids being hosted by the Navy's VX-30 unit and touring all their planes up close and personal. Then we were escorted to the VIP area for seating and fun. The first demonstration was of the F-22 superfast jet! Another WOW moment!  Then a very interesting fly-by of vintage aircraft all the way to the stealth F-117 and a B-52 brining up the rear. All in slow flight. Then came the main event, the T'Birds did a program almost 2 hours in length. They practiced their high and low show, due to our famous foggy weather here in the left coast. This weekend was beautifully blue and clear. After the demonstration, the pilots and crews came over and spent over 1-1/2 hours with the kids [and dads] again sorry another WOW moment! The kids had become bored, but they livened up when the crews arrived. The crew had special pins for the wish kids and another pin for the others in attendance. My daughter had a GREAT TIME with the crew.  If  you have time and want to see some pictures goto: http://vc.yourhub.com/Ventura/Stories/News/About-Town/Story~ 287206.aspx Please leave a comment, as the articles with the most comments/stars will be published in next weeks paper. If you really are bored and want more pictures, I have 450 total from the day. Again, long winded, but airing a n i c e  left handed FART .... KIM

Hey there Kim from the left. I have a brother that goes to a lot of air shows and car shows.  He always brings back tons of terrific photos and seems to have a great time too.  BUT HE's never gotten the VIP treatment,...OOOOOOO! Sounds like a lot of funa dn maybe the parents had a good time too?? I was waiting for the part where you got to ride ina T-bird.  Guess that didn't ghappen this time? Sounds like a great weekend.  Thanks for the post and the link.

Sounds like you had a great time, But from reading your post and the article,  I hope you are a volunteer, and not the father of a sick kid. BTW I wanted to leave a comment to help you out, but it says login is required to do so and registering wasn't in my plans, sorry.

Regards,
Marcel

Greetings! Unfortunately no ride this year.  I have had a commerical pilots license, but inactive for a few years. Flying again is one of OH goals. 2nd unfortunate is yes I am the father of a wish kid. She is hanging in there. Elena is usually in the hospital 75 - 90 days a year. She will be doing her Wish trip in June to DisneyWorld, So look out Florida we will be there in mid June.  She was to have a trip in January to the Cheeta Girls, but was in the hospital and couldn't make it. Thanks for all your visits, Marcel don't worry about not signing in, I didn't know you had to do that. KIM

Hi Kim, Glad to hear you and the kids had a good time. Enjoy your trip to Florida. It can get HOT in June. Stay hydrated. Thanks for sharing the gas. DD
