Hi Brian,
Congrats. You're already ahead of the game. One of the best things you can do is stick to your diet and make sure to avoid high-fat foods. This will make your surgeon's job easier and your recovery will be easier, too.
Get ready for a great journey.
Doug

Way to go and Congrads. That pretty exciting stuff. So now you can start stockiing up on,...water and Carnation Instant Breakfast, and water, and broth,..did I say water??
Find you some vitamins and supplements that are as small as possible and in accordance with your surgeon's post-op program. But you're probably gonna need vitamins A&D, B12, multi-vitamin with at least 18 mg of iron, some liquid B complex, and 81 mg aspirin (childrens). You might want to invest in some sugar Free (SF) popsicles for intial post-op variety from water and ice crunching.
Organize your closet with clothes from largest to smallest, and break out the boxes of smaller clothes you've stored and never quite knew why you were keeping.
Stay close to the OH site with the before and after pictures as you still have the periods of people that are going to try and talk you out of needing the WLS and the last minute "why am i doing this to myself" phase you will yet experience. Its kinda like burying a friend or getting married and knowing you are about to make a life changing event.
It is the right choice at this point of your life to end the yo-yo diets and weigh increases as we get older. I only wish I hadn't waited as long as I did. I waited until my heart started malfunctioning and almost couldn't have the surgery. Now I no long have the heart problems or the other related obesity related health issues I had pre-op.
Way to go man!!!
Are there such monsters in this world, who would try to talk you out of this. I belive I have allready met enough of them. I am worried about the "buyer's Remorse" hell, I cant buy a new fishing pole without getting a tummy ache. THe last thing I need is a tummy ache after surgery.
Thanks for the advice,
Brian
