Muscle pain at the waist?
I have been having muscle pain at my waistline. Front and back, I sit at a desk at work but get up and move periodically. When getting up it hurts and I need to stretch out really good to get back in the game. Is this normal for weightloss? My sister said its from my stomach not having the support of fatness that it used to have. I dont know about that. Should I be wearing a compression shirt to help with the support?
hey Ben,
they say it might be from rapid weight loss. when a rapid loss happens your body is trying to find its center again. so this causes a strain on your bac****il it can realign the spine to find center. it should go away after a while. in my case, i had a disc problem occur at about 4 months out. we thought it was realignment until we saw and I felt the severe pain associated with the loss. so i suggest a lot of stretching a couple times a day. that always helped me. once in the morning while waking up and later in the day or as many times as needed, it doesn't hurt. i got a real good dvd for stretching and still use it on occasion. i stretch pretty good in my warm ups for lifting so i don't do the dvd that much anymore.
the point is, keep stretching and build your core muscles. do sit ups and back work so your trunk will support your new frame. it's so important to do those core exercises and they're simple. most are done lying down. do a google search for core exercises and you'll see what i mean.
