Just a quick Hello to the group.  Today is my last day at work before starting my medical LOA.  MONDAY, April 2nd, IS THE DAY!  I'm getting the RNY thru Dr. Van Wagner.  I'm so stoked to get this journey started and hope for no big bumps in the road.  Keep me in your prayers guys.  Thanks.

Thank you all for your warm welcome and prayers.  I hope to keep you folks posted on my progress from time to time.  My WLS on Monday is being done by Dr. Van Wagner at St. Alexis Hosp., in south St. Louis.  I've made my peace and I'm so ready to dive into this...I can taste it. :o)  Given the nature of work I do, I've jokingly nicknamed my WLS and all associated with it as "Project Phoenix".  Sort of a focus tactic for myself.

My immediate family is in the loop about the surgery except my younger son who is in Iraq till September.  The last thing I wanted to do is give him an undo distraction while he needs to stay focused on saving his own bacon.  So there are no ill feelings later on, I did tell him that I was on a new and exciting project "Project Phoenix" that will have a huge impact on our family's future.  I told him that the nature of the project is secret and I hope to be cleared to discuss it with him when I see him.  Military timing at it's finest, deployed him earlier than anticipated.  When he gets home, he also gets to meet his new baby boy born only three weeks after he was deployed.  Boy, is he in for a heck of a homecoming! Let's see, 170 pounds less on my Goldwing, oh baby!  Should run sweet down the highway.

I HAVE ALOT TO LIVE FOR...I'M READY!
