Issues Update

Just wanted to post an update to all of my issues.  And, thanks to everyone here for all the great feedback! The orthostatic hypotension is still an issue, but seems to be improving with time.  Which is pretty much what the doctor said would happen.  Now that I am aware of the issue, I know what to do to avoid it or at least not let it get the best of me.  Now that the weather is getting nicer, I plan to spend some time spucing up the backyard.  Hopefully it won't affect me too much when I have to bend and squat. The left side pain, so far, seems to be nothing.  But, more tests to be done. The back pain... well, surgery is inevitable.  However, my orthopedic surgeon would like for me to avoid it until I'm at least a little closer to 40 (I'll be 34 in April), so I've got a few years of pain pills and steroid injections ahead of me.  As long as we can keep the pain controlled, I should be fine.  He also told me that I have no restrictions and can do whatever I feel comfortable with as far as activities and exercise.  So, now I just need to get back into an exercise routine.  I wonder if that gym I joined, but then had to cancel, will take me back without charging me another join fee??? Hmmmm, I'll have to make that call today! As for my weight... well, I seem to have hit a wall.  I'm stuck between 215 and 210.  I've lost about 180 pound in almost 11 months, and can't seem to get any more off.  Not to mention, I have probably been eating more of some "no-no" foods than I should be.  Hopefully, once I get back to my exercise routine, I can change all of that. There ya go guys... Things are still looking up! Jay

Thanks for the update.  I am glad you are please with your progress.  It sure seems significant to me.  I'm really impressed with the loss in the time frame.   I hope to get were you are.  I am stuck at 263 and doing a real plateau, drop, plateau, drop scenario over the last 3 months.  So I see you stiill as inspiring.  Thanks again for taking the time to post and let us know how you are doing.

Joe, I had the same problem at around 250.  It just made me put in a little more time on the elliptical machine.  It will come off!   Jay
