well i'm back..3 days post op... thank you all for your prayers, and good wishes, made the difference, and special thanks to my angel Randell Culpepper..he spoke to my wife, which gave him all the news about my surgery... ..... it was a success and very uneventful, thank God ...tuesday and wednesday were tough...coming out of anaesthesia, ahd lots of chills and shivering...did lots of walking...started on liquids, rejected ice chips, but can handle regular temperature liquids well...different not being on most of my medications..will get back on some...will ignore others...did mostly sleeping and resting wednesday drinking larger amounts of liquids today, and will go to longer walk near my house with my wife...feel more like myself today... Staying focussed, Al

Sound like you are doing great. Each day will get easier and you will get back to normal, "what ever that is", in no time. Keep moving and stay hydrated. pan head

Al So good to hear you are doing so well.  Keep sipping and walking.  You will feel a lot better after about one week.  Don't over do it - rest and rest some more.  Take advantage of your rest time now, beacuse it won't be long before you are ready to take on the world. Chris

Hello, I'm new here but.....Good to hear it went well. I too had the chills bad post op and I was never one to feel cold. It will slowly pass. Keep up the walking and the fluid intake. It just gets better from here......Good luck.                               Tom

Glad you made it to the other side!!!  Now you can be a real loser!  Don't be shy with your pain meds, if you need them.  That liquid Vicodin was a life saver for me.  Be sure you get enough protein over the next two weeks, and sip, sip, sip!!  In two weeks you will be your old self! Blessings to you, Kent
