Hello Gentlemen, I am cordinating an OH Men's Forum Cruise for us all to get together and meet and have a face to face group meeting (with drinks). I have booked  a group for the Monarch of the Sea from Royal Cruise Line for Monday, September 10th. We will be leaving L.A. around 5pm and going to San Diego, Catalina Island and then on to Ensenada, Mexico. We will be spending a full day at each port for you to enjoy the city and activities available. Total 4 nights. I have rooms available at per person rates of $200 + port/tax charges for Inside staterooms and $250 + port/tax charges for Outside staterooms(with a porthole). If you need flight, you can book through me or the cruiseline itself, but make sure you are there by noon so you can get transferred to the ship in time. Returning flights should be scheduled no earlier than noon the following friday so you have enough time to get back to the airport from the ship. Ask about the airport to ship transfer shuttle. I will be calling one of my partner flight providers to see what kind of group rates we can get if we use them. My email is  [email protected]  and my cell number is 559-977-5240. You will need to contact me with your passenger info; name, age, address, billing info(I have to call the cruise line and make payment for you) All deposits must be recieved by June 12th and final payment is not due until July 2nd. This gives us plenty of time if needed to get our funds and schedules together. There is travel insurance available that covers everything. You can get that if desired through the cruise line or through myself. If you do not wish to have it, I have to have a signed waiver faxed or mailed back to me, please request this and I will get a copy to you.  This is going to be GREAT! Our own manly meeting. Dont forget your spouse! They have been a big part of our support as well and they need rewarding as well. I cant wait to meet you all and shake your hands in gratitude for being my support during this awesome journey I have jumped into. without you guys posting and responding I think I would have failed during my first month. I have also am able to book excursions for you either on the ship or seprately from my website. I have my site listed on my profile. Lets get those calls or emails into me and lets get boarded!

What's the total price, after port charges and taxes are included?

Inside stateroom is total $327  and Outside with porthole is total $376, port charges are $99 and tax is I around $27. Unless you want to get insurance and add flight and shuttle provided by Royal. I could not get them to lower port charges, noone ever is able to get those out.

I'm not trying to be a party pooper or anything, but the listing price for the cruise is 299. That's 200 for the cabin, and 99 for port charges. Where's the discount?

Sorry thats the price they would let me have, I think it is still a great price, of course you can book yourself at the same price but why would you do that if you had someone else do all the legwork for you at the same cost? I respect your investigating and it keeps people honest, but I tried to get a better price for all. I just want to get together with everyone, thats all. I hope you still decide to go.

I'm not faulting you or anything. It's just that if Royal said they were extending a discount, then where's the diccount? It's really not a bad price. My wife's eyes lit up when I told her about it. So guess what, you can probably count me in. The only thing that might change things is I'm hoping to start a new job soon. The trip is 6 months away. Maybe I can still swing it.  Ronnie

Ben, I'm in. $379 for an outside cabin is a steal. How many hotels have that price for 4 nights? Not to mention gourmet meals and shows every night included in the price. Sounds like just the getaway Mama and I need. Thanks again for all the leg work. DD

Darn, This sounds like a hoot, but I think the airfare from Montreal will be prohibitive. Plus I now need a damn passport too, F**k,  It sucks.

Regards,
Marcel

There is still enough time to get your passport. It is not until September, does your Dr. say you will not be able to take a trip then? I will check airfare for you...

hey Guys,

sorry, can't make it but you'll have a great time. we bought a new sea ray 400 express cruiser a while back and would take it to catalina all the time. oh, I live in los angeles so catalin was our little vacation spot. you'll love it out there but we would go to the isthmus or cat harbor. the main port, where you go, is kind of touristy but still very charming. well, we sold the boat years later because we work so damn much we weren't putting the time in anymore. the good news is that i live right near the lax airport. so if any of you guys are coming into LA and have a long stopover email me. maybe we could get together for breakfast or lunch or something. my house is close by so you can come over and just relax if you wish and hang out by the pool, so bring your swim trunks! jeez, i sure hope i get a chance to meet some of you guys who are going......carbonblob
