flyguy,
make what you do drink- Count.
checkout some of the suggestions here-

Obviously avoid the items there that would cause you to dump,
But do add the fats and higher glycemic index Carbs.
Hope this turns around for you soon.
Seen a few guys with this problem
turn it around and get to building muscle.
Best Wishes-

ALEX,
I was just thinking about you.....
Can you drink milk?????whole milk has a bunch of calories.....If you go to the GNC, they have all types of protein powders...just find the type that you can muscle past the gag reflex....if yo can mix it with milk, it doubles the calories....
(in the hospital old days, when a baby need to put on weight, we would mix, regular milk with powdered milk) that was the days before all the new protein isolates....
I don't like any of them, but especially the ones in the cans.....
Remember food that says suger free ususally has more fat...so that is a form of calorie...also, butter things up....add a little oil or margerine, butter, what ever you like to your stuff...you know all the things you just spent 2 years making a habit....
become a Cheese head....you can go back to regular cheese, instead of the no fat....parmesean on everything.....
can you tell I was thinking about you????
Keep us updated....
oh, and stay away from the cardio, it is ment to burn calories....just do weight training....I know against what you were trained to do.....
ok that's it
Russ
Hey Alex
If you can stomach the texture.......
make Double Milk
Use powdered milk (as directed for the amount) only use whole milk to mix it instead of water. HUGE on protein, lower on sugars, high calorie, and CHEAP! My NUT had me drinking this the first two weeks because of the good calories with low sugars.
I personally like HDT+1 vanilla protein powder. The taste is ok and protein grams are in the right ballpark if you use 1 scoop instead of 2. I flavor mine with DavinciGourmet sugar free and fat free syrups. They're available from several places online but I get mine from www.netrition.com . You may want to contact www.Vitalady.com . The owners are very successful longterm WLS patients who used to dominate the Main Forum years ago. They just got too busy to continue. However, they are avaliable for aid. I think the husband's name is Don, but I know it is mentioned in their company website. They are strong advocates for using protein supplements.
