this is weird. I've gained about 5 or more pounds since getting off the pain meds and have made gains in muscle size and mass since adding creatine to my work out suppliments. I went to buy some shorts today and my pants size went down another 2". I can hardly believe this because I thought I've been gaining weight. Now the 30's fit just right but I bought 32's instead because I like a lose fit when I work. If I suck in my gut they just slide off though! I would have never believed this 15 months ago. I started at a 52" waist. So guys, it can be done, I'm living proof. Incredible. That's all I can say. Oh, my shirt sizes are small. This is the stuff I used to wear 20 years ago. I don't think I was even a 32 back then though. Just a Fart I thought worth sharing.........Carbonblob

I think you should change your name from "carbonblob" to "smallfry". Albeit, smallfry with lots of muscles. 30 inch waist and small shirts? My wife is a 30 inch waist, but wears medium shirts for two obvious reasons. You wouldn't happen to be 5'7" inches tall would you?  Great Fart! Go watch the fart video Dan posted below. It's a riot!

hey Ronnie, what you doin up so later? Yeah, 5'8" here. I'm getting smaller than most women I know. it's just a weird feeling. I'm heavier yet smaller. if you saw me in person most people realize I work out no matter what clothes I wear but still get the comment to add more weight back. even my g/f says i need more in my face. weight that is! small shirts fit just right but of course the arm holes are too small for me. I've had this problem before, small build but big arms. oh well. i think what adds to the illusion of not being well is my arms look like roadmaps with my veins. nearly everyone think it looks gross. you can actually see them pumping with blood and for some reason maybe people associate that with varicos veins or something. actually it's a sign of very low body fat but couple that with my small size and i guess everyone assumes i'm sick. go figure......carbonblob

Hey there  I have had something like that too . The scale has not moved , not one Lb . But my pants are getting losser on me too ?  I wear a 34 but could really stand to wear a 32 or 33 if there is such a thing ?  I dont really know any more . My wife of 28 yrs does all my shoping , I really hate shoping .  Now that spring is in the air and I can ride my bike again i think that may have something to do with it I dont know ?  I ride 15 to 20 miles every day sometimes more .  The weekends are when I like to get on my road bike and just gooooooo !  Something that I could NOT have been able to do 16 months ago . i can relate Nick. i started seriously swimming last summer and that kicked started my waist size. I went crazy and swam almost everyday instead of lifting. that did a lot to tone me up as well. as soon as the weather changes a little it's back in the pool for me and then i might have to wear those 30's after all! good job on your biking.......carbonblob

CB, You told me once that we were very similar in size when we started this journey, so I know exactly where you are.  I started at size 48 pants and now wear 30s.   I'm in small shirts, but I've even started buying large shirts in the boys department.    I enjoy shopping now, but where were all those big size clothes when I was big.  Now I can't find the smaller ones.  Finding 30 size pants is a challenge.  It's amazing how much I've changed in 11 months.  Haven't been this small in over 40 years.  Congrats on your progess.  You're a true inspiration to us all.

thanks Floyd and congrats on your loss as well. now this is embarassing yet funny. when i first walked into the store they had display racks with t-shirts on them. so as i walked in i grabbed a small and then shopped. then i tried everything on. i noticed the small from the first rack was kinda tight but not too bad. when i went back to check on other colors i noticed it was a womens t shirt! jesus, i fit in a small womens shirt? that freaked me out!

heya Russ, things are going good here. the cattle prod seems to work, of course not like the pain meds but it does help. my g/f is much happier having the old me back again. slobbering couch potatoe didn't cut it with her! so I'm 5'8" and understand how tough it must have been on you at your height and weight. I don't know if i'm ever going to get plastics because i don't have it too bad. i could use a little off my boobs but not really much if at all. my arms are ok and i have some sagging on my inner thighs and at my beltline. i can live with that but it is a little distressing because the rest of me is developed. i have a four pack but will never see the six due to the excess skin. maybe someday but right now plastic isn't going to happen. glad you were able to get it though. sounds like you carried a lot of weight for your frame. keep me posted on how you're healing. later......carbonpencil!

CB, You're a lean, mean, fighting machine!   Forget that noise about "Too skinny" and "sick looking" other people are blowing at you. It's your body. You live in it. You're the expert. From what I've seen you look remarkable. It's an amazing transformation. The fact that it was so fast and such a radical departure from the old body,  is what's blowing peoples minds. IMHO. You worked hard for it. Enjoy. You're an inspiration to all of us.  DD
