You need to calm yourself. God does not give you more than you can handle. I know that sounds crazy but it is true. You will become stronger and be able to deal with lifes bull**** I always seem to have trouble, I changed my name to Schleprock(the loser on the flinstone kids cartoon) because I felt that whatever I did came back to bite me in the ass. I really had some hard times as you are going through now. Get outside and spend some time by yourself to get it back in control. I go for walks at night when there is hardly anyone out. The peace and quiet really helps to get my mind in focus. It will not come all at once either, but give it some time, go out a few times. Hang in there and life will return to normal. You are only going to sugar because it used to be your comfort food, find another comfort. I am still looking for it myself. I look to my kids and family, then I find some sugar free treats and it seems to calm me down. There are things out there you can have that are just as good as the sugar, just look for it and you will find it. I hope this helps a little, at least you know someone has heard you and can feel your pain, believe it or not. It will still hurt but you will find a different outlet, one that will not be hurting yourself. Good luck brother, keep in touch, we are here for you.

I'm going to try and figure out your post first of all. I know you had a telecommunications business, sorry to hear you closed it. I'm not sure who "FIL" is, sorry to hear about the passing. Money is tight, join the club there. PCP's a jackass, we're closely related there as well.  If you don't like your PCP, he/she is not the only game in town. Easy fix. As far as work goes, don't you have plenty of telecommunications experience? Try getting a job with a company that sells phones/plans/accessories. Wasn't your business selling phones to businesses? Try working for Sprint at the corporate level in sales. A person you may contact is JP. I think he has some contacts in this field. I would send him a personal message and ask him to make some calls for you.  Keep your head up! You've got experience that most don't have. That means you're unique. Most companies would kill to have an potential employee, with your experience, just waltz through the door and ask for a job. I'm in the middle of the job hunt myself. Money is tight. My wife is supporting 4 people right now. I just graduated from college and the realization that my dream job isn't going to find me, but rather the opposite, is becoming reality.  Hope this helps in some way. I'll find the link to JP and post it for you. Here's JP's link: http://obesityhelp.com/member/fatmanwalking/

Dan, Sorry it’s raining sh*t on your world these days! Sorry for your family’s loss and all of that…. When I’ve hit the wall of "Bad Stuff" in the past? "...break a Slump?" The best thing that worked for me Was stopping any thoughts about the past or the future. Just sit in the Now. Not just "Today." But literally, "The Current Moment." Find what enjoyment you can right there. Music is a good way to do it. Also taking a walk And tossing away each thought as it comes along also works. Running our minds on problems doesn't solve them. Worrying about the future doesn't make it better. Everyone trips and falls. Successful people are just the ones that get back up. Really successful people are the ones that notice (while they’re down) what they tripped on So they can avoid it in the future. Yes? We all spend so much of our lives Pre-paring for stuff. "Sharpening the Tools!" A popular reference in Men’s Groups (Methodist Men’s Prayer Breakfast experience showing) --- is Proverbs 27:17: - "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." It’s a good thing. Men in a community, like this,  helping one another stand strong. But, What are we sharpening for? What are these "Tools" for? We spend a lot of time - Working at, working out, having accountability, striving to improve….. All of it to get razor-sharp for . . . what? We (me at the first of the list)- spend time sharpening, and often nevr really get around to "the Work." The "Work?" It’s "Now." Working for the Future, grinding away the Past…. If we waited until we thought we were sharp enough, We’d all be whittled away to nothing left. Quick, get your head out of yesterday and your thoughts out of tomorrow And keep them there with you in the "Now." It’s the core of all of the Eastern meditation crap, yoga, hypnosis, aesthetics, and prayer. "Be." (and listen to some kick-azz music, and get to sleep. Tomorrow is a better Now just waiting to happen.) Best Wishes- Dx

There is a great supprt group for those who are contemplating or have had WLS -  not far from you.  IT's at Pasadena Memorial - about 15 miles due west of San Dimas.  It is sponsored by Pasadena Laparoscopic and it's on Thursdays at 7 pm in the Braun Auditorium.  It really helped me both before and after the surgery.  Look for me - I'm David.

Maybe next thursday this Thursday is the debut of Jack "MF" Johnson with my beloved LA Kings. I cannot miss this. For you hockey fans you know how big this is, he just signed late yesterday. Thanx for the input guys. I have been through worse and will get through this. sometimes things build up and I need to release a lil pressure. Ron FIL= Father InLaw
