The Daily Intake Game!
Was just going through all the information given to me by the dietician and thought there should be a simpler way for educating the post-op regiment. BTW, I can't sleep and I check-in in 7-hours. Yikes! Anyway, so I came up with this thing. You could sort of look at your daily intake regiment as a game. If you don't play by the rules, you get penalized... big time. So I came up with this:
GASTRIC BYPASS SURGERY'S
Daily Intake Game!
In order to live (healthily) you must:
* Consume 60g+ of protein per day.
* Consume 3oz of fruits/vegetables per day.
* Take 1500mcg of Calcium Citrate per day; crushed or liquid.
* Take Multivitamins with Iron per day; crushed or liquid.
* Take 500mcg of B12 per day; sublingual.
* Drink 48oz+ of water per day.
* Get at least 8-hours of sleep.
* Walk 30-minutes per day.
The Rules:
* You cannot consume more than 2oz at a time.
* You cannot eat & drink at the same time.
* You cannot eat until 30-minutes after you drink.
* You cannot drin****il 1-hour after you eat.
* Solid foods must be pureed.
* Each meal should take 30-minutes to finish.
The Penalties:
* Dumping.
* Diarrhea.
* Loss or impairment of vision.
* Malnutrition.
* Loss of hair.
Tips:
* Protein Shakes = 40g+ protein.
* Protein Foods (1oz) = 2g - 7g protein. If you folks got anything else to add, please do. I think I might want to perfect this and give it to my dietician for those coming in after me.

Hey Z.....
This looks like a good place to start.....Don;t feel bad if you fall short on the protein, in the beginning....and later on you will up the fluids a lot,,,,
and you will be able to exercise a lot longer
but this is a good place to start
