Holy Crap!
Didn't even know there was a Men's forum. And I'm glad there is. At the group therapy sessions I kind of felt alienated since just about all of them were female. Good to know I've got a place to go if I have any "male" concerns. Ha!
Well, my name is Zedrick. I am 24-years-old. I am a medical clerk at a military hospital. Been thinking about Gastric Bypass Surgery for over 2 years now and took steps this past October-ish. I've been big all my life, 497# being the biggest. I've gotten down to 450. I'll be gettng my surgery (Roux-en-y) this coming Monday the 26th.
Wish me luck.

Z:
Greetings from the far east (coast that is). Just wanted to wish you luck. I had my surgery a year ago April 10, and have gone from 432 pounds to 198 in less than a year. Best decision I've ever made. I feel like a million bucks. My advice, do everything the way they tell you. Most important: protein, water and exercise and start the exercise as soon as you are able. You are young enough to probably avoid alot of the loose skin issues. Keep in touch with us here and let us know how you are doing. And feel free to contact me should you have any questions or just need a shoulder to wine on. Gook luck.
John
Greetings Z !
Strap yourself in and just enjoy the ride. Dry off from the estrogen pool and join us in the locker room when you get out. When you walk in the hospital, take a cutie with you for support. Never know what you can hold onto.
Good luck and see you next week on the losers bench!
