Alan: Jeez, that really must feel odd and weird.  I can understand how worrying that must be.  Thanks for the heads-up.  And it's good to know I won't have to be buying 15's anymore.  Hopefully I'll get down back to 13 and don't have to special order shoes.

Alan,

??????Quick!!?????

Are You taking B-12 and B-1 supplements?

And, are you taking the B-12 as an injection or as a sub-lingual?

Just taking it in a pill form WON"T absorb.

The B-1 will, but NOT the B-12. If you’ve had an RNY Gastric Bypass you can eat handfuls of the pills And not get enough.

The side effect is Neuropathy in the extremities. And Pernicious Anemia… Once the nerve damage is done, No real fixing it. B-12 supplementation can stop it from getting worse. Does your Doc have you on B-12 and B-1 supplements?

Probably, but just in case….thought I’d ask. My doc has me on Multi-vitamin, B-1, Folic Acid, Along with B-12 injections, as well as some calcium and iron.

Just making a quick check, particularly about it Not being absorbed … Just thought I’d throw that out… Best Wishes- Dx

Hey Dx, I do blood work all the time and of course just had it done a few weeks ago before surgery.  My surgeon says everything looks good. As far as the B12 it is in the Optisource Bariatric vitamins he has me taking.  With this latest development though I certainly will bring it up to him. Thanks for the advice. Alan
