I know I've seen it said that if you have to snack make it a good snack like beef jerky.

I've tried some beef jerky and didn't realize how good it was. And then I saw the price, WOW, I've gone to web sites and found it for up to $30 a pound.  I've tried making it myself but it just wasn't up to par with the storebought ones.

I finaly  found one website with beef jerky that was very reasonable. It's only $9.69 per pound. Now I thought this might be "quirky jerky" at that price, but I have to report I've ordered it and it tastes great.

The link if anyone's interested is  http://www.jerkynet.com/store/index.php.

Greetings -=- After this thread this morning, I went out and got some jerky and tried some this evening. Not to bad and went down well.  I'm 4 months out. I'm surprised the dentist hasn't recommended this in the past. He would get more business from all the teeth that could fall out. From toothless SoCA KIM

Hey Kim,

You would think that the jerky is too hard to digest, but I've been told it's a good snack, high in protein and low in fat. If you get a good quality jerky it's not too bad on your teeth.

It's sure better to munch on jerky than a bunch of cookies or chips. If it pulled out your teeth I'm sure you can gum it for a while. Best of luck.
