MY F'in PCP is a freaking idiot and moron. I had my psyche eval last month Dr got the report back last week. I called to make sure he proceeded to the next step and sent in for the referral for the actual surgeon consult. He has NO IDEA what the hell to do and say usually he send in the 1st referral and someone else does the rest.   BTW the Psych eval says I would be a high risk for failure because of my past eating habits, NO **** DUMBASS. if my past eating habits were good I wouldn't need WLS. I basically told him hes an idiot and I apparently know the preceedures of his office better than he does. I then explained to him what he needed to do and gave him until Friday to do, or I would take control of it and step on toes, mainly his and get it done myself. If you recall I posted a while back that he is NOT a fan of WLS and I am more correct than I thought possible. He had the balls to tell me if I am losing 4-5 a month that WLS isn't neccessary because that all I would be losing with WLS. I am so pissed off I don't know if I should beat something or cry. sorry for being all over the place but I am  ready to explode right now

Easy Tiger...deep breaths. This too, shall pass.

Don't make enemies of the Doc's. You'll need them. If you need a new PCP, get one. Don't beat up your current PCP. You can fire him, but you can't kill him. Good luck. Don't give up. This won't be your last hurdle.  DD

Wow, I feel so lucky now. I didn't have to jump through all those hoops. I really feel for you GM. In my case, I went straight to the WLS doctor, he sent me to the sleep study a week later, then I had a date the following week. At the time I thought this was normal. After hearing so many war stories I'm realizing how lucky I am.  I agree with everything Paul said. Get another PCP or just find a WLS doctor that will see you and guide you through the process. Continue with the same doc and your chances seem slim for WLS.  We'd be just as ticked as you are! Keep us updated. Ronnie

Wait, Is this the same PCP who was against it back at the beginning but you thought he was "a nice guy?"-PCP? [copy/paste Paul’s reply *here] Yep. If he’s set on getting in the way of WLS He’s set on getting in the way of WLS. You’re in California. (to paraphrase Colbert) You can’t ‘swing a cat’ without hitting a Doctor in the head! Been Tried- apologies to Dr. Smith, (and Mister Whiskers) Yellow pages…. Hope this works out for you soon! Best Wishes- Dx

Dx Though we've had little interaction I thought of you and your  reply tro my post when we were talking about my PCP.  Heres the NEW plan tell me what you guys think.  Saturday USC is having a  WLS seminar, I have already been once, I was thinking I should go talk to the Dr and ask him for a refferal to a WLS friendly PCP that will reffer me to USC(HIM).  I have to fill out the proper paperwork adn it MIGHT take effect April 1 but more than likely May 1. Still better than dealing with this idiot, IMO. I laready know what my insurance requires,a Psyche Eval and it has to be medically neccesary, that the easy part. any better ideas out there?

Thanx  Dan

Sounds like a plan to me! Go for it. Your Bariatric guy will know who does and does not look favorably on WLS. Best Wishes- Dx

Going mobile: I have a new name for you: GOING POSTAL !!!! You go on with your bad-self.. Your idea about going to the USC meetings sounds excellent.. You could arrive 45 minutes early, and help them set-up... you befriend the staff.. go straight to the DOC... after meetings like that everyone wants a piece of the speaker... Try going early.. they always appreciate help setting-up.. and it's good KARMA.. Keep up the good fight Kev-
